The Enterprise Architect position is a leadership role that develops software protocol, frameworks, and processes in order to deliver high quality solutions with the main objective of creating business value. The role is dynamic and can see a candidate working on technology such as .NET, Oracle, WebApi, C#, Angular.js and Python, among others. This position can span industries and the application of these software solutions (such as asset management) will change depending on the particular opportunity. Enterprise Architects can expect to be designing key initiatives and leading such projects as developing a company’s operating system or other internal technology platform. As the candidate brings in a high level of relevant experience, they are expected to guide and mentor team members on projects and in skill development, as well as competently communicate with management on project aims and progress.
The Enterprise Architect will be driven to identify solutions and have the ability to forge relationships, inspire team members, and guide actions towards improved solutions. Collaboration, critical thinking, and IT financial management skills are necessary as Enterprise Architects will map the value impact of each IT facet and relate it to business operations and financial planning.
Relevant business knowledge is an advantage in this role. Candidates can expect to work with data driven processes and applications such as ERP systems and scripting languages. Over ten years of experience is usually required for the Enterprise Architect position and typically candidates have experience with in-house and external software.
