PHASE I. ASSESSMENT & UNDERSTANDING

The first step in determining a course of IT action is to understand the existing hardware, software, and networking environment. But where others in the industry view an assessment as a simple inventory, DaVinciTek goes much further, completing a comprehensive evaluation of the operating characteristics, configurations, and network topologies of the specific system(s) in question. We take a granular approach to assessments to ensure that your investment with us provides the value you need. If you have an issue with business continuity planning, our assessment will be quite different than if your issue is document management or regulatory compliance.

Our assessments begin with your concerns, and we use your existing system management utilities to generate performance and utilization metrics. These metrics serve as the foundation for producing a complete report on the elements being evaluated in the specific IT system, how well these elements are performing, and where we think improvements or modifications should be made. The deliverable for a DaVinciTek assessment is a final report that details our conclusions and recommendations. It contains all of the specific information we relied upon in making these conclusions and recommendations.

Results of DaVinciTek's assessments are summarized in an easy to read "traffic light" report that assigns red, yellow, and green markers for system areas where we think immediate action is required, caution is advised, or no changes are needed. All red items are also prioritized to give you a clear picture of what we consider the most urgent action items. In addition, another key differentiator for DaVinciTek's assessment reports is inclusion of high-level, estimated costs for addressing each "red light" item, as well as an estimate of costs—in terms of both dollars and operational liabilities—associated with failing to act. Armed with this information, and the supporting data provided in the comprehensive assessment report, you can make a realistic determination of where you can most effectively allocate budget to achieve the best return on your IT investment, while enabling business growth and mitigating operational risk.
